Adam's ceaseless obsession, however, leads him to follow, and torment the born again couple in an attempt to regain full control over an already fragile Scarlet.Ego death in the form of a nightmare triggers a positive shift in Scarlet's perception, while the reluctant enlistment of fatherly detective Desmond Forrester delays further catastrophe.
